Two months since my last post and once again my life is being thrown into chaos, this time for an election. The summer was good to me: I got to know a new department, travelled to Geneva with the Minister for the WTO talks (which seemed to go on forever), got back to BC for my Pighin family reunion and a little wine tasting in the Oakanagan, finishing the summer off with a little camping at Charleston Lake for the Labour Day long weekend. No complaints, it has been great.
But the heat of the summer is just over and I’m heading to Victoria today to work on an election campaign. I’ll be working in the riding of Esquimalt Jaun de Fuca for Troy de Souza who is the Conservative candidate trying to win the seat there. This will be my first campaign and from the conversation I had with the riding office last night, they need my help.
I would like to say that after the election routine will be brought back to my life but for now it doesn’t feel like it. I guess I will see where this goes!
